What's the difference between us and the kid down the road with a camera?

Our director/producer not only understands the psychology behind direct messaging through video, he cut his teeth in front of a 35mm camera on set in feature films watching it all done with huge budgets.  He understands the minimum requirements to have  professional quality outcomes right down to makeup and wardrobe.

He also works in politics where imaging is just as important as in Hollywood.  He knows how to direct people with no background in film or television their first time on camera.  From the set of Dawson's Creek to 2023 campaign promotion videos, he has hand held newbies through the filming process.  He coaches them through dialogue and can train them for their next appearance on camera which is inevitable.  Experience is valuable.

He understands that this is a message with a purpose not a "just get something in the can" shoot.
Image is EVERYTHING and one false move on camera and you are done.  Sound crazy? Watch Richard Nixon's first FATAL debate with JFK about public image and subtle cues on Youtube and search the results of it.  That image of him has lasted longer than his lifespan and remains today as a reminder of the power of this medium and the dangers of not knowing how to use it.

The Backdrop

Our shooter can film on location or on set.  This depends strictly on your options and budget.  You tell us.  We can even shoot live venues/events.

The Camera

If you don't have the budget for a television studio set with TV cameras, we can shoot 1080i HD or 4K HD video with prosumer cameras.  Drones are also possible.

The Video

The video editting capabilities we offer can meet all the following video specs:

  • 4K video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps
  • 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps or 60 fps
  • 720p HD video recording at 30 fps
  • Slo‑mo video support for 1080p at 120 fps or 240 fps

Considerations/Costs

While we have shot low budget B film scenes and historical re-enactment footage for documentary purposes and publicity shots can be a lot less expensive than those, there are still important factors and needs for each type of film project for publicity.  While we have shot guerilla style for some candidates in the past to save money, budget does dictate te quality of the finished product.  SOME CORNERS CANNOT BE CUT.

Set/Location

You will have to decide where and how your message will be staged and filmed.  Whether that is a live event or a local network TV affiliate studio set with proper lighting.  Even a simple Youtube video isn't simple when your image is riding on it. Selfies don't cut it when you are building your brand and reputation.

Wardrobe/Makeup

One corner often cut at great expense is Makeup and wardrobe.  These are normally covered by at least two departments on a Hollywood set.  All is done meticulously.

We understand the need for both and the imaging behind decsions made for each.

Necessary Crew

Just because one woman with a camera can film almost anything, it doesn't mean that she can do it all.  Productions need crew and the total required depends on the needs of the shoot, location, and type of footage being filmed.  Our director has filmed on public event locations, sets,
home sets, remote locations and even church offices cnverted to sets for rofessional interviews for Public Access TV.  We will recommend minimum required crew.

Critical Crew

  • director
  • Sound
  • production assistant
  • Hair/makeup

Cutting these key crew can seem to save money while actually wasting money on a less than satisfactory finished product.  If you don't have the money for a properly done first shoot, you definitely don't have the money to RESHOOT!  We CANNOT create footage of your subject that is not filmed on set. Minimum crew is 1 director/shooter,
1 Production assistant.  If you provide the PA, they must have experience in film work.

Call for bid today or call to discuss your needs.

We can work with your concept or create one for you.

We recommend a consultation before dreafting the actual shooting script.

Nevertheless, if you have a good script and concept, we can make that happen.  If you have the time and budget, we can break down your script and storyboard it for your board or staff approval prior to shooting.

While some shoots are "down and dirty", a well planned, well scripted and blocked scene don't just sound professional, it produces professional results!
